The broad purpose of the Boys Scouts of America is to help young men develop their character.  There is much emphasis placed on assisting these young men to develop into strong healthy citizens who will lead our communities and country in the years ahead.  Or methods help to promote these ideals through the challenge of putting them into practice with the Troop Program.  Most important of all is that this is done in a way that is both challenging and fun.

To provide opportunities for young men to practice leadership, citizenship and confident independence, we use outdoor program of Scouting.  This program allows us to remove boys from their familiar surroundings and place them in situations where they will have to rely on their skills and the cooperation of their fellow Scouts.
